London Fashion Week SS17 Hair & Beauty Roundup

London Fashion Week SS17 Hair & Beauty Roundup

This week we’re rounding up our top hair and beauty looks at London Fashion Week SS17, next summer can’t come soon enough!

  1. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

This trend certainly caught our eye, created by make up artist Val Garland with pressed flowers attached to the model’s faces, lips, neck and collarbones.  Light makeup and bushy brows made up the face. This new approach to body art is a beautiful way to style a bridal or festival look; we can see this taking off next season, so get your flower presser out!

2 . Temperley London

Temperley showcased desert style beauty with their #TemperleyTribe.  Hairdresser Antonio Corral Calero for Moroccan Oil created beachy waves with centre partings.  Now there’s a tribe we wouldn’t mind being a part of!

3. Topshop Unique

The Topshop show with famous faces such as Amber Le Bon, Ella Eyre and Ellie Goulding on the Frow is always one of the most highly anticipated shows in the London Fashion Week calendar and this year was no different. Models demonstrated a low key makeup vibe with light eyebrows, beautifully subtle eye shadows and lips in neutral nude colours.  Hair by Duffy was curled into Eighties tongs with lots of volume at the front.

4. Julien Macdonald

The Julien Macdonald show is always a show stopper with sparkles, glitz and embellishment to be expected.  This season the show was opened by LA model Hailey Baldwin who wowed in sparkles.  Shimmer was the number one trend seen with glowing legs, St Tropez golden tans with wavy hair and smoky eye makeup by L’Oreal.

5. Mary Katrantzou

Another LFW absolute favourite, we are always dazzled by Katrantzou’s explosions of colour, pattern and texture.  Lips popped with MAC’s bold shades and hair was loosely styled with light waves and the occasional “pink hair don’t care” vibe.

James Pecis’s hair styling had a girly feel to it with youthful plaits in centre partings and exaggerated loose strands around the front of the face.  Bold lips and well groomed tinted eyebrows were on show.

Fresh skin and false eyelashes were the order of the day at Marc Jacobs.  With an Eighties club kids theme, each model was fitted by Guido Palau with coloured wool dreads and makeup by Nars including shimmering eyeshadows to match the hair and outfits.

8. Erdem

With inspiration from a woman emerging from a ship wreck, the hair by Anthony Turner was plaited and twisted into pigtails before being wrapped together into an updo finished off with a long ribbon loosely tied at the back.

Swinging sixties were the inspiration for Sophia Webster’s Dolly Birds Of Paradise presentation.  Makeup by Maybelline was bold and colourful with statement sixties eye looks, long lashes and full volumous hair by Catwalk By TIGI.

10. Burberry

This show is the first time you can shop the Burberry collection straight off the catwalk afterwards; an exciting moment for the fashion house.  Make up by Wendy Rowe was stripped back with fresh skin and bold brows to reflect an androgynous feel.  Hair by Sam McKnight was also very natural with no styling products only water used for a “barely there” look.
